This exhibition is a comic/sketch series on the death of
Christ using comic book style drawings and sketch
quality color and technique.
`That our idea of God correspond as nearly as possible
to the true being of God is of immense importance to us.
Compared with our actual thoughts about Him, our
creedal statements are of little consequence. Our real
idea of God may lie buried under the rubbish of
conventional religious notions and may require an
intelligent and vigorous search before it is finally
unearthed and exposed for what it is.”
~ A.W. Tozer
In other words, if you want to know what a person (or an
artist) really believes, their creeds may not tell you
nearly as much as how they live.
The core of what I believe, live in and teach may be
best captured through my art. I am a comic/ sketch artist
from Colorado. My contemporary method incorporates
a multi-media orientation. My style expresses mood
and emotions. It is crisp in concept, and in its execution,
often revealing the behavior of divine interaction. The
presence of color (working with ink, colored pencil,
turpanoid, and pencil) is visually important to the
enhancement of the comic/ sketch technique. I explore
my spirituality, through the use of form, color and
philosophical perception, while visually opening the
scriptural passages to the human eye. I communicate
and experiment with the concepts of fullness and
authenticity bringing a snappy and rich approach to the
edge of comic style art.
