Women and shoes have been associated together forever. I have drawn several different shoes in graphite and then have one part of the shoe in color. To me the look of these shoes implies someone who is elegant, classy, and tasteful but at the same time can go out and have a great time with a little flare. This series is entitled the Cinderella Series because there is only one shoe rather than a pair. I have only one shoe to keep the sense of mystery. A Sense of not always knowing. Is the match to the pair lost, or at home? The designs that I have were created to be more than a normal shoe. I wanted the designs to stand out from other shoes that people see every day. I wanted these shoes to show elegance. The definition of this is, “refined grace, tasteful richness of design or ornamentation, and restrained beauty of style.” These designs encompass all of this.
